Obama Effigy is Effed Up
Evidently there have been two reported discoveries of Barack Obama effigies across the United States hanging from trees, and one of them was found on the University of Kentucky campus. It’s embarrassing. It’s disheartening. It’s sad. It goes against everything that the United States has been trying to escape for the past 40+ years. We are a progressive country, and Kentucky is a progressive state. Here is where we stand. Last ditch efforts to abuse such a sensitive matter in an attempt to put fear into a candidate for presidency. It is sad. That somebody that can not muster enough self respect to pacify that type of hate and not only have the people voting for this candidate fear that his future as President, should he win be short lived but to stain an entire state in the process is foolish. There are many Obama supporters in Kentucky that will not stand for this. Do not allow the actions of one decide how you view the people of Kentucky. Mostly, they are hard working honest human beings wanting better for not only their families but their neighbors and country. If one wants to hang something from a tree, try hanging your pride.

The Wildcats do it Again!
The University of Kentucky’s football team beat Louisville for the second straight year, but this time it was no nail biter. Neither team was particularly stellar on offense with a total of only 415 yards for both teams combined. The game winning score came at 9:53 of the second quarter with Lonas Seiber connecting on a 21 yard field goal for the game’s first 3 points. That’s all they would need to put Louisville away in front of nearly 43,000 fans at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. It didn’t end there, though. The Wildcat’s defense would score two touchdowns off of fumble recoveries and the offense added another touchdown on a Tony Dixon 7 yard run. Lonas Seiber also connected again from 25 yards out and the Cats won 27-2 in a total butt-kicking performance on the road. It is the first time that the Louisville Cardinals have been held scoreless since a shut out by Florida State in 2000. Speaking of Florida State….
